Conjugation pronouns – Grammar
The pronouns
I = je
You = tu/vous (en anglais, pas de différence entre “tu” et “vous” – on utilise toujours “you”)
She = elle
He = il
It = il/elle (animal, objet, chose ou idée)
We = nous
They = ils/elles
Reminders
-> There is no formal / informal version of “you” – wheter you speak to a friend, a teacher or a group, it’s always the pronoun “you”.
->The pronoun “it” doesn’t have a direct translation in French. It’s used when the subject is not a person (animal, idea, etc.)
- It’s cold. -> Il fait froid.
- I love this movie. It’s great. -> J’adore ce film. Il est génial.
